If you’re like us, Fall evokes a number of wonderful connotations: Crisp days. Football in the backyard. The trees changing color. Pumpkin-themed beverages. Oh, and splendid fall races.
So, we’ve gone ahead and compiled a list of 10 Great Fall Races on the East Coast, happening in October that feature beautiful scenery and a venue in which to appreciate the changing of seasons, with an emphasis on races that’ll mainline that need for fall foliage.

Mmmm, we can almost smell the Pumpkin Spice Latte.

We couldn’t resist putting this quintessentially autumnal picture here. But no, you probably shouldn’t run with that hat on. Probably.

The microcopy on this fall race’s site is excellent, and the RD has provided what many other races don’t: a video walkthrough of the entire length of the course. It looks beautiful.
